Biography
During his outstanding high school career, Jeff cemented his place as one of the most prominent players on one of the state’s most storied football programs. In a successful football tradition that was started by his father and his brothers, Jeff proudly carried the family torch at Adams High School. From 1973 to 1976, Jeff’s playmaking ability from the quarterback position helped propel his team to three consecutive undefeated seasons. He was also instrumental in helping launch the program’s historic state record (at the time) 43 game winning streak. In the process, the Hornets also claimed three State Titles for legendary Hall of Fame Coach Ken Cook. Jeff’s abilities as a dual-threat athlete were major building blocks in the foundation of Nebraska’s premier Eight-Man Football Dynasty of the 1970’s. In his four- year prep career Jeff only lost one contest, and in the process was selected as a 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-State player on multiple occasions. His proudest moment as a player was having the honor of working with outstanding teammates and coaches to produce one of the most successful runs in Nebraska Eight-Man Football history. The NEMFCA is honored to now welcome him into the Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
