Known as the “1,000 Yard Guy” from The Grand Island Independent, Bobby is one of the most respected members of the Nebraska High School Sports Media. For five decades he has chronicled the success and achievements of teams and players from across the state with his annual “1,000 Yard List”. Bobby’s attempts to promote the eight-man game from his platform have been paramount to its’ continued growth and success over the years. His efforts to spotlight our sport have always included a tremendous amount of respect for the players, coaches, and fans of Nebraska Eight-Man Football. Bobby stated that many of the most memorable players and games of his career have come while covering the Eight-Man Football ranks. The NEMFCA thanks Bobby Mills for his 50-plus years of coverage and is honored to welcome him into the Eight Man Football Hall of Fame class of 2018.
