Hampton
Class of
2024
Biography
From 1974 to 1977, Brian dominated both sides of the ball while playing for the high-powered Hawks teams of that era and Hall of Fame Coach Jim Connick. He was joined by his twin brother Mike in forming a one-of-a- kind Hall of Fame backfield during both his junior & senior campaigns. Brian played a key role on two state runner-up teams (1976 & 1977) on a Hampton squad that went a combined 22-2 in those seasons. During his highly-decorated prep career, he was recognized as the state’s leading rusher (1,711 yards), named a multi-time All Crossroads Conference selection, and was also honored as an All-Area and All-State running back as well. After High school, Brian was selected to play for the East All-Stars in the very first Eight Man All-Star Game in 1978. Brian’s fondest memories include competing in Nebraska’s historic first Eight-Man Football State Championship, the first Eight-Man All Star Game, and most of all- getting to play with and for fellow Hall of Famers- Mike Hahn and Jim Connick. The NEMFCA is honored to now welcome him into the Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
