Biography
Coach Scribner coached for 16 seasons at Trumbull High School. His career record was 105 wins, 47 losses, and 2 ties while also winning 2 conference championships. Over the years he had 12 of his players play in the Eight Man All Star Game. He served as East Assistant Coach in 1979 and the victorious East Head Coach in 1986. Dave was a founding father of the Nebraska Eight Man Coaches Association. Along with helping to start the Eight Man All-Star game, he also focused much effort on getting more small schools represented in the Nebraska state playoffs. He served 6 years as the association’s Vice- President and then followed that as President for an additional 6 years. After those terms, he went on to serve as a liaison between the Coaches Association and the Sertoma Club to help organize All-Star week for an additional 27 years. The NEMFCA is honored to welcome him into the Eight Man Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
