Biography

Tom graduated from Peru State College in 1939, where he also played college football. After graduating, he went on to coach Six-Man Football in Iowa for many years. Eventually, he moved to Bartlett, Nebraska and Wheeler Central High School from 1968 to 1978. During his time there, his teams won 5 Sandhills-Gateway Conference Championships and 1 conference runner-up. His coaching record was 80 wins, 25 losses and 2 ties. Coach Majors also coached his son, Tom Jr. from 1968 to 1970 on a 15 man roster that proudly won a conference title. In 1978, as his career was winding down, he was selected to be an assistant coach for the very first Eight Man All-Star Game. The NEMFCA is honored to welcome him into the Eight Man Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
