Biography

Craig was an out-standing player for Hall of Fame Coach Ron Peck’s dominant Beemer teams of the late 1970’s. As a junior and senior in 1978 and 1979, he carried the load for the undefeated Bobcat’s while leading his team to back- to-back Class D1 State Championships. Craig’s highly decorated career includes being selected 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-State on 3 separate occasions while also being named to the Norfolk and Fremont All- Area Football Teams twice. He was a 3-time 1,000 yard rusher, compiled over 4,000 career yards, and was also recognized as a High School Prep All- American as a senior. In the summer of 1980, Craig played in the Eight-Man All-Star Game, and then went on to play college football at WestMar College in LeMars, Iowa. The NEMFCA is honored to welcome him into the Eight Man Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018.
