Biography

Dale was a standout ball carrier in a family of ball-carriers (including his father Dennis and brothers Craig and Paul). From 1987 to 1989, he became one of the all-time great running backs in state history while leading Polk- Hordville to 4 undefeated regular seasons and 4 subsequent playoff appearances. In his senior year, Dale was the state’s all-class rushing leader with 2,614 yards and was named 8-Man Offensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All-State, 2nd Team All-Nebraska, and Nebraska High School Athlete of the Year. He set many Wildcat rushing records along the way, including career yards and all-purpose yards. He was named Offensive Most-Valuable Player of the 1990 Eight-Man All Star Game and was also selected that year to play in the Nebraska Shrine Bowl. Dale went on to a decorated four-year college career at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and later played 4 seasons in the NIFL Arena Football League. The NEMFCA is honored to welcome him into the Eight Man Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018.
