Dr. Wyeno joined the Hastings Sertoma Club in 1976, and was involved in the Eight Man All-Star Committee and their continued success since its inception. Gary, a doctor of audiology, was instrumental in establishing the Nebraska Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank, which is supported by proceeds generated by the All-Star game. Over the years, Gary has been dedicated to organized youth sports and has been active in youth football, baseball, basketball, soccer and wrestling as a coach, as well as a serving as a youth football commissioner and a YMCA Board Member. At one time, Gary was the only audiologist between Lincoln, Nebraska and Denver, Colorado and for decades, Dr. Wyeno has provided audiologic services to countless families in outstate Nebraska. His contributions to youth sports, the hearing health of others, and the Sertoma Eight Man All-Star Classic are deeply appreciated. The NEMFCA thanks him for his 40-plus years of service and is honored to now welcome him into the Eight Man Hall of Fame Class of 2022.
