Biography
As a quarterback, running back, and linebacker, Nolan led St. Pats to the state playoffs 3 times in his career, including state semi-final appearances in his sophomore and junior years. His proudest moment as a player then came in 1986, when he helped his team to an undefeated season and the Class D-2 State Championship. From 1982 to 1986, he set a school career rushing record with 3,585 yards and was chosen 1st Team All-Conference 3 times, 1st Team All-State 3 times, and Regional Offensive Player of the Year twice. During his senior campaign, Nolan was honored as captain of the 8-Man All- State Team, named 2nd Team All-Class/All-State, and was selected to play in both the Eight-Man All Star Game and The Nebraska Shrine Bowl. After high school, Nolan played running back for the University of Nebraska at Kearney for four years and then went on to a career teaching, coaching, and administrating high school athletics throughout the state of Nebraska. The NEMFCA is honored to welcome him into the Eight Man Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018.
